This engaging session will be led by two distinguished professionals from Kenya’s capital markets ecosystem, Mr. Justus Ogalo and Dr. Faith Mwende Christopher, offering students and staff practical insights into the workings of the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) and the evolving landscape of investment instruments in Kenya.

Guest Speakers

Mr. Justus Ogalo

Business Development Lead – Derivatives & Structured Products, NSE
Justus brings nearly a decade of experience in the Kenyan capital markets, having worked as an equities and derivatives trader and later supporting the development of the NSE’s derivatives market. He currently leads the design and rollout of options trading at the NSE and plays a key role in educating the market on structured products.

Qualifications:

  • BSc in Economics (Daystar University)
  • MBA in Finance & Strategic Management (USIU – ongoing)
  • Certified Climate Adaptation Finance Expert (Frankfurt School of Business)
  • Associate Member – Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI)

Dr. Faith Mwende Christopher

Capital Markets Expert & Researcher
Dr. Mwende has served in senior roles at both the Nairobi Securities Exchange and the Capital Markets Authority (CMA). She is widely published in the area of financial derivatives and is a member of the Regulatory Sandbox Review Committee, contributing expertise in fintech, innovation, and policy development.
